Steps to put in order
1. Read the value of the graduation at the base of the meniscus.
2. Determine the value of a division.
3. Note the value with the unit in the notebook.
4. Read the volume unit at the top of the graduated cylinder.
5. Pour the liquid into the graduated cylinder.
6. Place your eye at the level of the free surface.
7. Place the graduated cylinder on a horizontal plane.
