Dry air is therefore a mixture.
It is not a pure substance.
Composition of dry air:
Dry air contains mainly nitrogen N2 and Oxygen O2.
It contains about 80 % nitrogen N2 and 20 % Oxygen O2 (4 times more nitrogen N2 than Oxygen O2 ).
Dry air contains less than 0.04 % carbon dioxide CO2.
This amount seems negligible.
However, scientists monitor its evolution because carbon dioxide is one of the gases responsible for global warming.
